Red Tent on the Rame is a safe, empowering space where those identifying as a woman gather, to listen to each other without judgement and to live in tune with themselves. This is about women of open minds to meet their own needs, to respect and understand their bodies, and to fuel their well-being by the accepting and supportive company of other women, feeling and offering solace and sisterhood.
Our first workshop will take place this coming Sunday, 12th January, in Awenek Studio and thereafter one Sunday a month, around the New Moon.
Arrive by 2:50pm whenever possible to ensure you have time to settle. We’ll be sat down on cushions for some of the session so suggest you wear comfortable clothing. We’ll be doing some Qi Gong, feel free to bring your own yoga mat. Also, bring something to write on and with.
Red Tent on the Rame want to be inclusive and welcome all those who identify as a woman no matter their background. We have aspirations to become a CIC or Co-Op as this will allow us to grow sustainably and apply for funding that could help vary the programme of events (speakers/craft leaders/workshop activities) but most importantly, allow for funded or subsidised places at our sessions. In the meantime, we apply the following pricing structure:
Ticket 1) £9
Ticket 2) Invest in Red Tent on the Rame: £12 (your extra donation helps fund the room hire, drinks and food and our craft supplies)
Ticket 3) Fund a Friend: £18 (your ticket plus a ticket will be put aside and allocated to a woman who asks for a funded place)
Ticket 4) Funded Friend: £0 (please contact us to see if spaces are available through the generosity of another supporter)
Until we are set up officially with a social enterprise or charity status where all our incomings and outgoings are made public, please know that we will endeavour to be transparent and fair with our decisions on how to spend any money that is surplus to our running costs. Money taken for our sessions will always be reinvested into the group to enhance the experience and the space and enable our community to grow together.
We welcome ideas, feedback and your experience from other walks of life. If you would like to be on the committee that helps us establish ourselves as a charity or social enterprise please get in touch.
