Awenek Wins 3-Year Lottery Community Fund Grant!
16th February 2021

✨ We are grateful and excited to announce that Awenek Studio CIC has been awarded a £202,000 National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund for 3 years, 2021-2024.

✨  It’s been an ever-changing 20-month application journey as we’ve adapted to these unusual times.

🌻  It’s wonderful to be able to secure 2.5 full-time jobs for the 3-year program, enabling us to continue and expand our community outreach and social recovery offer through art & craft.

🍁 We will work towards coming out of this pandemic and look to the future, employing ad hoc tutors and supporting community-led groups.

🌱 We will continue and grow our home art pack service to those in need or isolated, handing out 500 per year!

🌼 We can continue working one-to-one with individuals and families as well with our many local organizations, social prescribers, carers and more.

🍁 We are passionate about linking our community members with each other and a wider support network to help grow skills, social confidence and mental wellbeing.

🌻 We are excited to provide community art and craft engagement activities for all to enjoy, both here on the Rame Peninsula and across South East Cornwall.

🌸  We will provide a safe creative space in the studio and offer recovery sessions for individuals and families to make and create together.

🌻 Until we can safely open our doors to all, we will continue to engage with our community through online peer support groups, downloadable activity guides, messaging and online events.

🍁 We look forward to offering student mentoring, volunteer placements and work experience opportunities in the not too distant future.

A huge thanks to the National Lottery players and to all of you for this opportunity to help our community at this time and grow into the future!
