Paint Jam: New Monthly Meet-up For Anyone Who Likes To Paint Or Draw

We’re starting a new monthly group for people who like to paint and draw. All abilities are welcome – a chance to learn, create and share. Give your artist self a monthly check-in and a date with the easel.
It doesn’t matter whether you haven’t put paint to paper for decades and don’t know how to start or if paint every day and just want a change of scene – come along to our new monthly Paint Jam.

We’ll use the first part of the evening to get the creative juices flowing with a hands-on activity to add an idea or technique to your creative toolbox. The monthly host artists will bring something to the table for everyone to try. Each month there will also be a chance to bring any art-related questions to the group or share something yourself – whether it’s a piece of work you’ve completed or a seed of an idea, an interesting podcast or an exhibition you’d recommend.

Spend the rest of the evening painting and drawing together – your work, your style and your pace. Bring a canvas or sketchbook, snacks and drinks. Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided and art materials for that month’s activity.

We’d like these evenings to be a chance to talk about your own art- whether it’s how to start, where to go next, or air those anxieties we all get. Share what works and share what didn’t work.
